Underfloor Heating in a New Forest Renovation

The Brief

As part of a renovation in the New Forest, the homeowners wanted comfortable, even heat throughout the ground floor without radiators taking up wall space. They were keen on something efficient that would work well with a modern boiler, and they needed the system designed and zoned properly so each room could be controlled independently.

What We Did

Our work included:

• Designed the system: Sized and zoned the underfloor heating for the layout so each area heats evenly and can be controlled on its own.
• Laid the pipework: Installed the underfloor pipe circuits to a tidy, consistent spacing across the floor area, ready for the screed.
• Fitted the manifold and controls: Installed and balanced the manifold and connected the zone controls so the system runs efficiently at lower flow temperatures.
• Integrated with the heating: Connected the underfloor system to the property's boiler and heating controls for reliable, efficient operation.
• Commissioned and tested: Pressure-tested the circuits, balanced the flow and confirmed even, comfortable heat across every zone.
• Handover: Showed the homeowners how to set and zone the heating, and left the work area clean and tidy.

The Result

Comfortable, even warmth across the whole floor with no cold corners and no radiators on the walls. The system runs efficiently at lower temperatures, works neatly with the property's boiler, and gives the homeowners independent control of each zone.

Job Duration: Completed in stages alongside the renovation programme, from design to final commissioning.
