Terms and Conditions
Last updated: May 2026
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions apply to all work carried out by Flexible Heating Services Ltd, a company based in Southampton. By agreeing to work with us, you accept the terms set out in this document. They apply to both residential and commercial customers unless otherwise stated, and are designed to ensure clarity, fairness and a positive working relationship between you and us. If you have any questions or would like to discuss specific clauses, please get in touch before work begins.
2. Services Offered
We provide central heating and plumbing services. A full description of the services we offer can be found on this website. All services are provided with reasonable skill and care, in line with industry standards. We reserve the right to update or modify our service offerings at any time, but will always honour any agreed works as set out in your quotation.
3. Quotations and Pricing
- All quotes are provided free of charge and are valid for 30 days from the date of issue, unless otherwise agreed.
- Quotes are based on the information you provide at the time and may be revised if the scope of work changes. Any additional work required will be discussed and agreed before being carried out.
- Pricing includes labour, materials and VAT. Any unforeseen issues discovered during the work that may affect the cost will be discussed with you immediately.
4. Payments and Deposits
- A deposit of 50% may be required before work begins. This secures your booking and covers initial material costs.
- Final payment is due upon completion of the agreed work unless otherwise stated in writing. Payment can be made by bank transfer, cheque or Visa/Mastercard.
- Late payments may result in additional charges, including interest as allowed under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts Act. We reserve the right to pause or cancel works in cases of non-payment.
5. Customer Responsibilities
- You agree to provide clear access to the work area, as well as water, power and any other essentials needed to carry out the work.
- You must notify us of any known hazards or risks that may affect the work. Delays caused by lack of access or customer-related issues may result in additional costs.
- If you have pets, valuables or delicate furnishings, it is your responsibility to make sure they are protected or moved out of the work area.
6. Cancellations and Delays
- If you wish to cancel or postpone a scheduled job, please give at least 48 hours notice. Cancellations made with insufficient notice may result in a cancellation fee to cover lost time or materials.
- If we must reschedule due to unforeseen circumstances, we will provide as much notice as possible and work with you to find a new suitable date.
- We are not liable for delays caused by factors beyond our control, such as adverse weather, material shortages or third-party delays.
7. Guarantees and Workmanship
We stand by the quality of our work. All labour comes with a 12 month workmanship guarantee, covering defects due to poor workmanship. Materials are covered by the manufacturer's warranty where applicable. If you notice any issues after completion, please contact us immediately so we can investigate and resolve them. Guarantees do not cover damage caused by misuse, neglect, third-party interference, or wear and tear.
8. Liability and Limitations
We are insured for public liability up to £5 million. While we take care to protect your property, we are not liable for minor cosmetic damage or for any pre-existing faults or issues, and we are not responsible for delays caused by factors beyond our control. You are responsible for ensuring any necessary permissions, licences or consents (such as planning permission or landlord approval) are in place prior to work starting, unless we have agreed to obtain them for you in writing.
9. Privacy and Data
We collect and use your personal data only as required to deliver our services. This may include your name, address, phone number, email and project-related information. Your information will not be shared with third parties without your permission, except where legally required. We take all reasonable steps to protect your data in line with current UK GDPR legislation. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
10. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be handled in the courts of Hampshire. These terms do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer. Should any part of these terms be found unenforceable, the remainder shall remain valid and enforceable.
